MODELS & FIT

 

In our efforts to provide the best possible service and a high level of information on our website, we have developed a guide to the different models.

 

The guide will be expanded continuously, but we have initially focused on our cargo shorts, cargo knickers and cargo trousers.

 

Molecule models are easy to recognize via the item number. For example, the number 45020 indicates that the model belongs to the 45 series. There can be both men's and women's models in the model group, which is why you also have to separate these.

FITS

Molecule models vary in 3 different fits – Baggy, Regular and Fitted. This means that in one model you will need a size M and in another you may need a size XL. We recommend that you ALWAYS, without exception, use the size guide associated with the individual product, or ask our support team for help before purchasing if you are in doubt.

 

MODELS

 

MEN'S 45 SERIES (45020 ORIGINALS SHORTS – 45056 DRAWN TOGETHERS KNICKERS – 45019 COMFY COMBATS TROUSERS)

Products in the 45 series are made from 100% heavy duty cotton. This means that the fabric is strong and durable. Products in this series have plastic zippers and olive-green reinforcements. All products in the 45 series have a baggy fit and will therefore sit loosely on the body if you choose the right size.

 

WOMENS 45 SERIES (45046 WAHINIS SHORTS, 45041 RIPTAIL COMBATS TROUSERS & 45062 LOW CUT COMBATS TROUSERS)

Products in the 45 series for women are, like the men's series, produced in 100% cotton called heavy duty. This means that the fabric is strong and durable. However, the women's models are, unlike the men's models, fitted and tight-fitting, and are small. All 3 designs are different in design, but what they all have in common is that the waist is not that high - especially the Low Cut Combats have, as the name of the model suggests, a low waist.

 

45 SERIES UNISEX (45038 BASIC COMBATS TROUSERS)

In the 45 series you will also find the unisex pants Basic Combats. Like the rest of the 45 series, it is produced in the 100% cotton called heavy duty. The model is regular and has, unlike the other Molecule models, an external lace closure at the waist in addition to the regular zipper and button closure at the front.

 

MEN'S 50 SERIES (50007 CRUISERS SHORTS – 50006 KICKFLIPS KNICKERS – 50005 ANKLE BUSTERS TROUSERS)

Like the 45 series, the 50 series is made from 100% heavy duty cotton. The models have a metal zipper and solid color details. All products in the 50 series with the except the 50008 have a baggy fit and will therefore sit loosely on the body if you choose the right size.

 

54 SERIES AND 50008 MEN'S (54001 CYCLONES SHORTS, 54002 BOARD PANTS & 50008 STITCHED COMBATS TROUSERS)

The 54 series and 50008 have a regular fit and unique button details. The 54 series and 50008 do not have a zipper pocket at the thighs and therefore have fewer pockets than the 50 series. The regular fit gives the model a more classic look and can therefore be used by both young and old. The 50008 stands out by having extra leg length but is otherwise very similar to the 54 series.

 

MEN'S 55 SERIES (55001 DUAL FEATHER SHORTS – 55002 FEATHERWEIGHTS SHORTS – 55003 OUTDOOR LIGHTWEIGHTS TROUSERS)

The 55 series is special as the models are made of ripstop material and the buttons are hidden. Ripstop material is also known as parachute fabric. The material is, like in the other Molecules models, 100% cotton, but the thread and weave mean that you receive a lighter and more breathable product.

 

Please be aware that all the 2.0 models are smaller in sizes that the old models with same name - you therefor again have to use the sizeguide for the model before you make your order 

 

Common to all models is that we recommend that you always use the size guide associated with the individual model or ask us for advice before purchasing, if you do not already know the model or our brand.

SIZE GUIDE

 

As a supplement to the model guide, you will find a size guide "Find your size" under each product, which describes the waist, length from top to bottom, length from top to bottom of the crotch and the width at the knee and ankle.

The size guide is indicated in both CM and INCHES so you can choose which unit of measurement that suits you best. You can also choose between EU, UK and US sizes.

Each size guide is unique to the product it is associated with and therefore only covers the model it is assigned to.

Please note that the size guide is a guide only, as the thickness of the fabric can affect the size. The products are handmade, so the size may vary by 1-2 cm from the size guide.

We hope this product guide will help you find the right MOLECULE shorts, knickers or pants as well as guide you to recognize existing models so you can expand your collection with more colors or different lengths.

 

HOW DO I FIND THE RIGHT MODEL?

 

• Find out if you want to buy shorts, knickers (¾ length trousers) or trousers.

 

• What fit you want. As previously mentioned, you can choose between baggy (A model that is large and has plenty of room for movement) regular (A model that has a normal fit) and fitted (A model that is tight and small in the model)

 

• You need to find your unique measurements - primarily A- B and C determine whether you feel comfortable in the chosen model / size. You can watch our measurement guide video where we show you how to find your unique measurements.

GENERAL INFO ABOUT CARGO SHORTS, CARGO KNICKERS AND CARGO TROUSERS

 

Our cargo shorts, cargo knickers and cargo trousers are of high quality and known for being durable. If you take good care of your Molecule and wash them correctly, they can last for many years. Buttons and zippers should be handled with care. You can take extra care of buttons and zippers by using the right size and by using a belt. The fabric used in Molecule products is the 2 previous cotton products heavy duty and ripstop. The fabric also varies in thickness and softness depending on the colour. Camouflage models often have thicker fabric.
